Hull Sections

The structural envelopes ships are built from — shapes, mass, and slot budgets, live from sections.json

Hull Book

A section design is where a ship's option space gets decided. Its shape and envelope set what fits inside; its structural mass is the price of carrying it; its slots say what mounts where: each one accepts certain component categories, holds a points budget by size class (XS 1 · S 2 · M 4 · L 8 · XL 16 — several smaller parts can share one), is plumbed for certain bus lines (fuel, oxidizer, power, heat, data), and sits on the hull's clock face (aft or fore cap, radial at an hour, or inside). A hull carries its own tech level, an integration bus level a part may require, and any integral parts built into it. You can't rack six fusion drives into a bay with two large engine mounts — hull choice is strategy, not decoration. Components fill these slots; Ships shows the assembled results.
